BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhua) -- The Gansu-South Korea economic and trade cooperation and exchange event was held in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's Gansu Province on July 6.
"We plan to launch the first overseas 'Gan Flavor' flagship store in South Korea and promote this business mode to other overseas countries and regions," said Zhang Tianjian, president of the Gansu Chamber of Commerce in South Korea, in an interview with China News Service during the event.
The "Gan Flavor" brand refers to agricultural products sown and reaped in Gansu Province, with unique natural ecological conditions, excellent production environment, and green organic characteristics.
The flagship store is scheduled to be opened within half a year, intending to bring "Gan Flavor" brand products, including apples, potatoes, broad rice noodles, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), to Seoul for display and sale. At the same time, South Korean cosmetics and semiconductors will be introduced to Gansu, Zhang stated.
Gansu's trade volume with South Korea hit 1.1 billion yuan in 2023, said Chung Jae-ho, South Korean Ambassador to China, who also added that Gansu has great potential for development in industries such as nickel-cobalt, crop seeds, and wind power generation, and believed that South Korea and Gansu can cooperate in many sectors in the future.
