BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Zeekr aims to sell its EVs in 50 countries and regions by the end of 2024, according to Shanghai Securities News on Tuesday.
Currently, the EV maker has seen its products sold in approximately 30 major markets including Sweden, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Mexico.
In June this year, Zeekr announced that it had entered the right-hand-drive markets of Malaysia and Indonesia, marking a new chapter for its presence in Southeast Asia.
According to the company, the right-hand-drive version of the electric subcompact luxury crossover SUV Zeekr X is expected to start delivery in the third quarter of 2024 in Thailand, Singapore and other markets.
In addition to the Southeast Asian market, it also focuses on the Latin American market, with the first batch of the electric mid-size shooting brake sedan Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X being sent to Mexico on June 24.
Data shows that in the first half of 2024, Zeekr delivered 87,870 vehicles, a jump of 106 percent year on year. By the end of June this year, it has delivered 280,000 vehicles in total. (Edited by Wu Rui, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
