BEIJING, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Hisense Home Appliances Group Co., Ltd. (000921. SZ), a leading Chinese home appliances manufactuer, has seen its laser TVs gaining popularity in Europe, which ranks Hisense's largest overseas market.
The company's laser TV products saw significant growth in multiple European countries in 2023. In particular, such products saw 95-percent year-on-year sales growth in Germany.
According to data from Omdia, a world-leading consultancy, about 49.5 percent of global laser TV shipments were made by Hisense in 2023. The figure grew to 53.4 percent in the first quarter of 2024.
Hisense had owned 2,598 registered laser display technology (LDT) patents as of May 2024, and holds the highest number of Red Green Blue (RGB) laser display patents worldwide, according to the company. (Edited by Wu Rui, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
