LONDON, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Representatives from Shanghai shipping industry have met here with their London counterparts as the two maritime hubs continue seeking further communication and cooperation.
At a promotion event for the Shanghai International Shipping Centre and North Bund Forum held on Thursday in London, Zhou Yin, an inspector from the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, praised London as a renowned maritime center with a long history.
Zhou said the British capital offers numerous practices and experiences worth sharing and learning from as Shanghai is on its way to becoming a world-class international shipping hub.
"Our industry is an exemplar of the power of globalized business, working in partnership to achieve our shared goals," said Jos Standerwick, chief executive of Maritime London at the event, stressing the importance of cooperation in green shipping.
The North Bund Forum will be held in Shanghai in late October 2024.
