BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Serbia's National Football Stadium by the Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) was held recently in Belgrade, Serbia, with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming, high-ranking Serbian government officials, executives of PowerChina in attendance.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic praised Chinese partners for their support of Serbia's development and looked forward to collaborating with them in accomplishing this significant project successfully.

Since its entry into the Serbian market in 2012, PowerChina has implemented a total of 26 projects in Serbia with the contract value of nearly 4 billion U.S. dollars, and has become a backbone force in promoting Serbia’s infrastructure connectivity and accelerating the country’s green transformation.
