SINGAPORE, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Representatives of Tianjin Port and Shipping Authority attended the just-concluded Singapore Maritime Week, which was held in Singapore from April 15-19.
Representatives exchanged views with local shipping institutions during the event and gave a full introduction about the upcoming Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo 2024 planned for July in north China's Tianjin Municipality.
Meanwhile, Tianjin Port and Shipping Authority and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) jointly held the annual meeting on the green and digital shipping corridor.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on ship e-certificate data exchange and green shipping industry development, and determined the cooperation direction.
Besides, representatives of Tianjin Port and Shipping Authority visited key international port and shipping institutions in Singapore and conducted field research on port and shipping decarbonization development, future shipping hub construction, maritime arbitration services, etc., to further promote the smart and green development of Tianjin Port and the construction of an international shipping core area.
In order to explore the development trend of the port and shipping industry, Tianjin Municipality held Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo for the first time in November 2023.
The first edition of the expo has received extensive attention at home and abroad. More than 400 leading enterprises, listed companies and world-renowned ports around the world participated in the exhibition.
