BEIJING, April 9 (Xinhua) Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of China's internet giant Alibaba announced price reductions in overseas markets, covering over 500 core product specifications deployed in 13 regions across the globe, according to the company.
The price adjustments mainly take place in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong SAR of China, involving five main categories of products, including computing, storage, networking, databases and big data.
It is learned that the average price reduction rate is at 23 percent, with the most cut reaching up to 65 percent. According to the latest data from Gartner, a global information services company, Alibaba Cloud's share in the international market jumped to the third place worldwide in 2022, ranking the No. 1 in the Asia-Pacific region.
Currently, the rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data technology has led to the continuous rise in the market demand for cloud services. Alibaba Cloud's significant price reduction strategy aims to attract more new users and further consolidate its leading position in the global cloud service market.
