BEIJING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company has recently shored up support for watermelon spring farming by ensuring the sufficient and stable power supply in North China's Tianjin.
The company has coordinated with local government to be aware of the overall arrangement of spring farming and irrigation, inspected and monitored transformers and power lines in rural areas accordingly, to ensure stable power supply at this critical time.

The company's Jinghai branch is in charge of Taitou Town, which is a major production base of watermelon. The branch has closely monitored changes in power usage and rolled out plan in advance to secure the power supply for spring farming and irrigation.
State Grid Tianjin Electric Power has also sent staff to villages to inspect safety issues and provide villagers with advice based on their specific power needs.

Dongjituo Town plans to upgrade over 7,000 mu of high-standard field and expand scale of watermelon production this year. To cope with this demand, the company's Ninghe branch has provided 108 large-scale agricultural producers in the town with one-on-one service on 24/7 basis and digitalized its service system to ensure service efficiency.
