BEIJING, March 21 (Xinhua) -- A blue book on the overseas development of Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises was officially released at the 4th China Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair, reported Shanghai Securities News recently.
Developing emerging markets will be the focus of the Chinese cross-border e-commerce industry, with regions such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America becoming new growth poles, according to the blue book.
The blue book said that over the past year, China's cross-border e-commerce industry has shown strong vitality and resilience, and the gradual rise of cross-border e-commerce platforms has had an impact on the global cross-border e-commerce industry.
Statistics from the General Administration of Customs showed that China's total import and export in cross-border e-commerce reached 2.38 trillion yuan in 2023, up 15.6 percent year on year.
Seizing the opportunity of "Silk Road e-commerce" international cooperation, Chinese cross-border e-commerce companies can tap into emerging markets, expand the coverage of their services, and further improve the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem, according to the blue book.
