BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Dehua, one of the cradles for Chinese ceramic culture, is endeavoring to bring more homemade porcelain products to the world.
On March 17, local government of Dehua, the World Craft City for Porcelain named by World Crafts Council in 2015, convened a meeting in Chicago to bolster cooperation between local ceramic suppliers and U.S. procurers.
Friendly communication over trade always serves as a crucial channel to foster mutually beneficial exchanges and the meeting dedicated to enhancing communication between Chinese and U.S. businesses cements the foundation for closer cooperation, said Fang Junqin, county chief of Dehua.

Fang welcomed representatives from the U.S. commercial and industrial circles to visit Dehua to look for win-win cooperation and encouraged at the same time more local ceramic producers to establish warehouses abroad to expand the overseas market.
Siva Yam, president of U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce, expressed a warm welcome to the ceramics promotion tour of Dehua county government's delegation in Chicago, hoping for a journey to Dehua together with U.S. businesses for cooperation negotiations.
After viewing ceramic exhibits from Dehua county, Michael Chad with BIA Consulting thought products from Dehua have their own character and he looked forward to learning more and being able to introduce them to his clients.
More than a dozen of Dehua ceramic manufacturers also participated in the Inspired Home Show commencing in Chicago on Sunday and in the exhibition zone for Dehua porcelain, exquisite local ceramics in excess of 2,000 ones are exhibited.
Chen Weibin, general manager of Fujian Dehua Huamao Ceramics Co., Ltd. told Xinhua that his company got an order on the first day when the show kicked off and many others expressed their eagerness to place orders.
Chen said his company, a Dehua ceramic producer which exports 70 percent of its products to the U.S., has been preparing to participate in the show since more than three months ago and he is confident to obtain more orders during the show.
Known for its white porcelains featuring exceptionally pure whiteness and superb carving techniques, Dehua, a county located in southeast China's Fujian Province, boasts an annual ceramics output of 57.7 billion yuan and exports porcelains to more than 190 countries and regions around the world now.
