BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- An all-cargo freighter loaded with 24.6 tonnes of equipment, accessories, and mechanical products departed on March 17 from Lanzhou in northwest China's Gansu Province for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, marking the launch of a new international air freight route of Lanzhou.
The Lanzhou-Tashkent route will see the operation of two flights per week, or 96 flights per year, transporting such goods as mechanical equipment, products using lithium batteries, and small commodities.
The new route, together with the Lanzhou-Almaty air route launched in August of 2023, will further enhance Lanzhou's connectivity with Central and Western Asia. (Edited by Su Dan with Xinhua Silk Road, sudan@xinhua.org)
