BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) -- China's bond market saw 5.30941 trillion yuan of bonds issued in January, reported Xinhua Finance citing data recently released by the People's Bank of China, the Chinese central bank.
By products, the monthly issuances include 750 billion yuan of T-bonds, 384.45 billion yuan of local government bonds, 598.40 billion yuan of financial bonds, 1.27059 trillion yuan of corporate bonds, 5.21 billion yuan of credit asset-backed securities, etc.
By the end of January, the outstanding bonds on China's bond market mounted up to 159.3 trillion yuan, with comparable totals for interbank bond market and exchange bond market at 138.3 trillion yuan and 21.0 trillion yuan respectively.
Overseas institutional investors held 3.92 trillion yuan of bonds on China's bond market, accounting for 2.5 percent of the comparable aggregate and their bond holdings on interbank bond market were 3.87 trillion yuan.
