BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The export volume of construction machinery in central China's Hunan Province reached 26.3 billion yuan in 2023, surging 43.7 percent year on year, 21.7 percentage points higher than the national average, according to Changsha Customs, reported Hunan Daily Wednesday.
In 2023, the province saw the export volume to the Belt and Road countries increase by 48.9 percent, reaching18.95 billion yuan.
In recent years, Hunan has promoted the standardization reform of the export model to further expand export channels and assist the construction machinery industry in managing cyclical risk.
In the first three quarters of 2023, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd., one of the leading construction machinery producers in Hunan Province, realized the export revenue of 13.029 billion yuan, up 100.53 percent year on year, and accounting for 36.69 percent of its total revenue, which reached a record high.
The overseas sales of Sinoboom, another construction machinery company based in Hunan, reached about 1.4 billion yuan in 2023, with a year-on-year increase of 75 percent. Its overseas sales is expected to exceed 2.5 billion this year.
