BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- China Eastern Airlines recently announced that its subsidiary China Eastern Air Logistics Co., Ltd. (CEAL) had signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Shein, one of China's largest e-commerce platforms, reported China Securities Journal.
The two sides vowed to deepen cooperation by developing their air route network, expanding chartered flight business, strengthening logistics layout in south China and overseas markets and so on, as a bid to promote strategic and business coordination, as well as improve cross-border fulfillment capabilities and logistics efficiency.
Through such efforts, the two sides are committed to continuously providing professional cross-border logistics support for China's high-quality products and brands to enter the international market, as well as offering better user experience for global consumers.
Echoing the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce through recent years, CEAL has been accordingly increasing business investment in the sector. By working together with cross-border e-commerce platforms and enterprises such as Shein, the volume of CEAL's cross-border e-commerce business operations has increased year by year, showing a strong upward momentum.
