BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese passenger jet C919 and ARJ21 debuted at the Singapore Airshow for the first time which kicked off on Tuesday, presenting the phased results of China's commercial aircraft development to the public.
In the exhibition hall, the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) exhibited the latest basic aircraft models of C919, ARJ21 and C929, and also ARJ21-derived models, including ARJ21 fire fighting jet, ARJ21 medical service jet, and ARJ21 emergency management jet.
In the outdoor static exhibition area, the C919 aircraft of China Eastern Airlines and the ARJ21 aircraft of Indonesia's TransNusa Airlines are available for attendees to board and visit.
Besides, C919 will also perform flight demonstrations during the Singapore Airshow 2024.
The C919 features lower carbon emissions and higher fuel efficiency, which has completed its first commercial flight since May 2023, according to the COMAC.
The ARJ21 jetliner has good takeoff and landing performance at high-temperature and high-altitude airports with strong side wind-resistance ability.
The six-day event, attended by over 1,000 participating companies, is expected to attract trade attendees from over 50 countries and regions.
