BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- As the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches, the festive vibe in Linyi City, east China's Shandong Province, is getting stronger as streets are filled with an array of festive goods, attracting waves of shoppers who create a warm and bustling atmosphere at the bazaar.
The Spring Festival falls on Feb. 10 this year to kick off the Year of the Dragon.
The goods on sale include "tanghulu", a traditional Chinese snack of candied fruit, baked sunflower seeds, seafood, pots and pans, clothing, various meats, fruits, and vegetables.
The bazaar also showcases some handicrafts such as tiger head hats and cartoon dragon ornaments made by crochet hooks. There are also floral cotton-padded jackets, and intangible cultural heritage handcrafted lanterns made from rattan and cardboard.
The bazaar forms the feeling of nostalgia in the hearts of the local people. Local authorities plans to leverage the bazaar as a new driving force for rural revitalization.
