BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train carrying high-quality barley from Kazakhstan arrived in Xi'an on January 29, in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province.
This is the first China-Europe freight train dedicated to barley transportation jointly launched by Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. and 1568 Technology Co., Ltd.
Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. seized the opportunity of cooperation between by the Shaanxi provincial government and Kazakhstan, and purchased barley worth of 240 milllion yuan from a grain trading company in Kazakhstan.
The first batch of barley was loaded onto the China-Europe freight train at the station in Kazakhstan, entered China through the Alashankou Port, and arrived at Xi'an Port.
The successful launch of the China-Europe freight train for barley is part of the efforts of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. to explore new fields in the process of going global.
