BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- In recent years, the State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company has been committed to promoting the construction of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to serve the development of new energy vehicle (NEV) industry, including investing and constructing "photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging"integrated charging station in Linyi small commodity city, east China's Shandong Province.
The charging station covers an area of 500 square meters and has 20 charging piles, with the maximum power of a single pile reaching 120 kWh, meeting the needs of fast charging of new energy trucks.
By the end of 2023, the State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company has built a total of 2,373 charging stations and more than 16,000 charging piles, with its annual self-operated EV charging and battery swapping capacity exceeding 600 million kWh.
In terms of serving local residents' charging pile installation, the company innovated to create a simple service model which simplified the application process and the required materials. The State Grid Linyi Power Supply Company and other local and municipal companies also actively docked with government departments, introducing relevant policies to further simplify the application process for charging piles.
Under the vigorous development of the NEV industry, the State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company will continue to improve the carrying capacity of the power grid, optimize the layout of the charging and battery swapping network, and improve the charging and installation services to provide reliable power support for promoting the development of the industry.
