BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- A video of Dehua porcelain, a type of white Chinese porcelain made in Dehua County, Quanzhou City in east China's Fujian Province and has gained worldwide fame as "Blanc de Chine" (White from China), recently was cast on the NASDAQ screen at Times Square in New York, the United States, attracting the attention of overseas viewers.
This was the third time that Dehua white porcelain-themed film had appeared on the big screen as high as 36.6 meters since 2022.
Dehua, famous for its centuries-old legacy of white porcelain production, is a ceramics manufacturing powerhouse and export base in China. White porcelain produced in the county hit foreign markets as early as the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It was one of the main export commodities in ancient China and has played an important role in promoting cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
