BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese automaker Geely has showcased its latest flagship product Galaxy E8 at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the U.S. city of Las Vegas.
The Galaxy E8 is the first pure eletric sedan of Geely. The model was launched on Jan 5 and began delivery at the same time. With five editions, the E8 was priced between 175,800 yuan and 228,800 yuan (1 yuan ≈ 0.1394 U.S. dollar).
The E8 provides customers with a new generation of "Galaxy Panoramic Smart Cockpit", together with the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 vehicle chip, the Flyme Link Connectivity platform, and in-house developed AI drives model, brings users an intelligent and immersive experience.
The most eye-catching part of it is a 45-inch 8K-resolution screen, which is co-developed by Chinese leading display panel manufacturer BOE Technology. The screen, 1.13 meter in width and less than 10mm in thickness, provides comfortable evening mode with a reflectance of 1.5 percent, a low glare rate of 4.5 percent and the adaptive brightness control.
For the entertainment lovers, Galaxy E8 also provides an immersive experience with its applications of game, movie and music.
The 2024 CES, concluded on Jan 12, drew more than 130,000 attendees and over 4,000 exhibitors from more than 150 countries and regions, including over 1,200 startups. Chinese companies have been important forces at CES in recent years, impressing global exhibitors with innovative products and solutions.
