BEIJING, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's newly added local government bond issues grossed 4.5465 trillion yuan in the first 11 months of 2023, reported Xinhua Finance citing data released by the Budget Department of Ministry of Finance on Monday.
By use of proceeds, 683.1 billion yuan of newly added general local government bonds were issued from January to November and 3.8634 trillion yuan of newly-added special purpose local government bonds were sold during the same period.
Local government bond issued in the first 11 months of 2023 for refinancing were 4.5953 trillion yuan, including general local government bonds of 2.6047 trillion yuan and special purpose local government bonds of 1.9906 trillion yuan.
In November, newly added local government bond issues stood at 210.9 billion yuan, including 25.7 billion yuan of general local government bonds and 185.2 billion yuan of special purpose local government bonds.
Local government bonds issued for refinancing in November were 456.3 billion yuan, including general local government bonds of 184.4 billion yuan and special purpose local government bonds of 271.9 billion yuan. (Edited by Duan Jing with Xinhua Silk Road, duanjing@xinhua.org)
