BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- When the low-carbon and smart-energy innovation park program came recently into operation, State Grid Corporation of China (State Grid) helped Yancheng, a city of east China's Jiangsu Province advance local energy consumption transformation and green and sustainable development.
Leveraging thoroughly advanced digital technologies, multi-energy complementarity on the energy supply side and integration of energy consumption side terminals are realized to improve the proportion of clean energy consumption in Yancheng.
The program has three key application scenarios, namely the intelligent energy management, intelligent zero-carbon management and intelligent park management.
Through the integrated power source, power grid, power load and power storage systems, a diversified clean energy supply system is in place to connect electricity production with consumption and consume by the maximum degree clean electricity generated nearby.
Adopting the cloud-edge collaboration technology and digital intelligent applications, a smart operation center is crafted to precisely manage operation of the low-carbon and smart-energy innovation park.
By optimizing comprehensive energy services solutions, green and low-carbon operation and intelligent senseless management are realized in the park, which serves as a case that can be replicated elsewhere to further contribute to building a green, safe and highly efficient modern energy system in Jiangsu.
Wang Guoping, deputy general manager with Yancheng power supply branch of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. said that enabled by integration of multiple types of clean and new energy as the power source, consumption of clean energy accounts for 85 percent of overall energy consumption in the park and the fully electrified end-use energy consumption can help save three million kWh of electricity per year and reduce carbon emissions of 5,600 tonnes annually.
