BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- An economic and trade matchmaking conference between east China's Jiangxi Province and the Volga Federal District of Russia was held in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi on Wednesday.
More than 220 guests attended the conference, including over 40 representatives from more than 30 Russian enterprises. At the event, representatives of Chinese and Russian entrepreneurs had face-to-face negotiations and exchanges, with the intended cooperation amount of the conference reaching nearly 20 million yuan.
It is learned that as important economies in the world, China and Russia have continued to expand and deepen cooperation in fields such as agriculture, energy, trade, science and technology, finance and etc. In 2022, the trade volume between China and Russia increased by 29.3 percent year on year.
Economic and trade cooperation is an important part of practical cooperation between China and Russia.
According to the data, Russia is an important trade and investment partner of Jiangxi Province, with an average annual growth rate of 23.9 percent in trade imports and exports in the past three years.
From January to September this year, trade volume of the two sides reached 7.12 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 26.9 percent.
