ZHENGZHOU, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Central China’s Henan province recently launches its first comprehensive electric vehicle charging station in Jiaozuo, a city in northwest Henan.
With support of the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company, the station integrates functions including solar power generation, energy storage, liquid-cooled supercharging, vehicle networking and online detection of automotive batteries.
The station has 76 charging units including among others two liquid-cooled superchargers and 56 fast chargers. On a five–minute charge by liquid-cooled charger, a car can travel up to 300 kilometers.
With these functions, the smart station could increase efficient use of electricity and help improve battery protection. (Edited by Wang Sheng, wangsheng@xinhua.org)
