BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Exhibitions above designated scale held in Russia are attracting more and more Chinese companies, said Dmitry Zavgorodniy, CEO of ITE Exhibition Group, which is one of the world's leading organisers of international trade exhibitions and conferences.
Exhibition has become an important platform to promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia, Zavgorodniy added.
From September 19 to 22, the WorldFood Moscow 2023 was held in Moscow, attracting more than 1,000 exhibitors from 39 countries and 56 Russian regions. Among them, 327 exhibitors were from China.
Previously, the first MosHome exhibition held by ITE Group in March attracted 156 enterprises from more than ten Chinese provinces including Zhejiang, Fujian, Hebei, Guangdong and Jiangsu. Many well-known Chinese enterprises such as Diller, EISHO and Cocaba Cookware participated in the event.
According to ITE Group, the Chinese enterprises signed up enthusiastically before the event, making the reserved booth area exceed the rented space, so that ITE Group had to close the registration channel in advance.
It is learned that ITE Group will hold the 25th International Exhibition of Equipment, Raw Materials and Technologies for Pharmaceutical Production in mid-November. The overall scale of the exhibition has increased by 40 percent, and the number of Chinese exhibitors is expected to increase by 150 percent year on year.
Recent years, Russia has been steadily expanding its trade relations with China. According to the China-Russia (Harbin) Economic and Trade Index report (2023) jointly released by China Economic Information Service and Harbin Municipal People's Government, the bilateral trade volume between China and Russia reached a record of 190.271 billion U.S. dollars in 2022, with a year-on-year increase of 29.3 percent.
