BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) issued a report on Monday on the development of electronic information engineering in China, outlining 14 major challenges in the future development of the sector.
According to the report, the 14 major challenges lie in the areas of digitalization, informatization, optical engineering, networks and communications, cybersecurity, computer systems and software, marine network information system, among others.
The report provides an important reference for scientific and technological workers to grasp the development trend of the electronic information field in a timely manner, said Wu Manqing, vice president of CAE.
Since 2014, CAE has been releasing annual reports on the technology development of China's electronic information engineering sector, focusing on the key challenges and latest trends.
