BEIJING, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Aiming at presenting fruitful results of Belt and Road agricultural cooperation and facilitating green, sustainable agricultural development, the 2023 Belt and Road Agricultural Cooperation and Development Forum will be held in Beijing on September 21.
The forum is guided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and Xinhua News Agency, while co-sponsored by China Economic Information Service (CEIS), together with the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC).
Agriculture is a basic industry related to national economy and people's livelihood, and it is also one of important direction in economic and trade cooperation between China and B&R countries. With the theme of "Expanding the Convergence of Agricultural Benefits on B&R", the forum will summarize the experience of agricultural cooperation in the past ten years under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative.
It is learned that a series of achievements will be released during this forum. A special on agricultural international cooperation will be launched by Belt and Road Portal, and a cross-border service platform will be inaugurated by the Agricultural Bank of China.
Besides, a report compiled by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on B&R agricultural investment cooperation as well as B&R agricultural cooperation cases will come on the scene.
The forum will invite representatives from government, think tanks, multinational enterprises and media, as well as scholars from countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Chile, Rwanda, Tanzania and etc.
