BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Invested and constructed by Anhui Conch Group Co., Ltd., the Tashkent cement project in Uzbekistan was put into operation recently.
On the same day, the project's clinker cement production line with a daily output of 6,300 tonnes was ignited in Tashkent.
A senior official from Tashkent region attended the ceremony and said that the modern facilities of the cement project meet local environmental protection requirements, which can effectively promote local employment and bring welfare to local people.
Ren Yong, general manager of Anhui Conch Group Co., Ltd., said that since 2017, the company has launched three projects in Uzbekistan, with a total investment of nearly 450 million U.S. dollars, achieving an annual output value of about 300 million U.S. dollars.
With a planned investment of 320 million U.S. dollars and an designed annual capacity of 2.5 million tonnes of cement, the Tashkent project is the second cement project invested by Anhui Conch Group Co., Ltd. in Uzbekistan.
