BEIJING, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Hefei City, the capital of east China's Anhui Province, has handled over 3,400 China-Europe freight train trips since the launch of the service, according to Hefei International Land Port on Wednesday.
The China-Europe freight train services departing from and arriving in Hefei has provided links to 122 cities in 18 European countries.
In the first seven months of 2023, the number of China-Europe freight train services operated in Hefei increased by 25.74 percent year on year to 640 trips, of which 336 were return train trips, accounting for 52.5 percent of the total.
A China-Europe freight train departed from Malaszewicze, Poland and headed for Hefei via the Alashankou Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on July 31, which marked the 640th freight train trip operated in the city this year.
The amount of import and export goods including home appliances, clothing, electronic devices and machinery equipment transported by the China-Europe freight train services have seen apparent growth, said an official from Hefei International Land Port.
