BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- With further recovery of the Chinese economy in the second half of the year, the scale of China's online advertising market is expected to exceed 409 billion yuan, showing a year-on-year increase of 9.5 percent, according to a report released on Tuesday by QuestMobile, a mobile internet business intelligence service provider in China.
The report tells that the scale of China's online advertising market went up 2.3 percent year on year to 145.22 billion yuan in the first quarter. The figure for the second quarter was 159.34 billion yuan, up 8.1 percent year on year.
Advertising on e-commerce platforms including Taobao, Tmall, and JD.com has become an important part of advertisers' marketing layout. In the first half, about 60 percent of advertisers from traditional sectors, such as clothing, beauty, household appliances, food and beverage, placed advertisements on e-commerce platforms.
