BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) --Shanghai Lingang Economic Development (Group) Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Lingang Group)  recently signed a framework agreement on strategy cooperation with the Kunming city government in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, aiming to construct and develop the China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone, situated at the crucial transportation intersection between the two countries.

Meanwhile, a company was set up to conduct the Mohan-Boten economic zone's development and operation, reported China Securities Journal on Saturday.

The two sides pledged to leverage the unique strengths of Yunnan's border region and Shanghai Lingang Group's resources and capabilities in industrial park development. They plan to capitalize on international trade regulations to bolster collaborative projects between Shanghai and Yunnan, thus augmenting their competitive edge.

The China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone serves as a border industrial park absorbing industries relocation from the eastern China.

Shanghai Lingang Group, boasting a solid track record of successful collaborations between Shanghai and Yunnan, expressed its commitment to amplify the mutual economic benefits to China and Laos.  (Edited by Yang Linlin with Xinhua Silk Road, 15036033666@163.com)
