BEIJING, June 2 (Xinhua) -- The 2023 China-Arab States Enterprise Cooperation Meeting was held in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province on Thursday.
Jointly held by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) committees of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, the event saw around 150 attendees from relevant government departments, business associations, industrial parks and enterprises.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the meeting between the CCPIT committees of Ningxia and Guangzhou. A total of 14 cooperation projects worth 377 million yuan (about 53.28 million U.S. dollars) were inked at the event, covering fields including smart agriculture, transformation of sci-tech achievements, talent development, automobile export and so on.
Supported by the platform of the Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo, the meeting is committed to making use of the China-Arab States industrial and commercial cooperation mechanism, as well as enhancing the coordination between China's eastern and western regions, in a bid to promote the economic and trade cooperation among enterprises and business associations of Arab states and China's Ningxia and Guangdong.
