BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- The economic and trade delegation from central China's Hubei Province launched a ten-day activity on Monday to seek business opportunities for foreign trade in ASEAN countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, to attract foreign investment, boost foreign trade orders and accelerate the signing of a batch of key projects under negotiation, China News Service (CNS) reported.
During this trip, the delegation will carry out economic and trade cooperation with government departments, business associations and key enterprises from ASEAN countries, and tap cooperation potential in such fields as industrial investment, trade promotion, cross-border e-commerce and introducing world-renowned exhibitions to Hubei.
Meanwhile, the delegation will organize enterprises to participate in the THAIFEX 2023, hold the Hubei-Malaysia enterprise matchmaking meeting and Hubei-ASEAN trade center matchmaking meeting, visit relevant business associations and industrial parks, and hold other 21 business activities throughout the visit.
In the first quarter of this year, Hubei's foreign trade value with ASEAN reached 23.66 billion yuan, up 18 percent year on year.
