BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- The Gangbei District of Guigang City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, accelerates the construction of China-ASEAN new energy electric bicycle production base, and now has become one of the major electric bicycle industrial clusters in Southwest and South China, with products sold to Thailand, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Peru and other countries.
Guangxi Guigang Fushuai Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. signed a contract with a trading company in Jakarta, Indonesia to sell 20,000 new energy electric bicycles, local authorities said on Thursday.
Driven by the global wave of green development, the electric bicycles produced in Guigang will facilitate people's traveling and make positive contributions to global green and low-carbon development, Crystal Huang, CEO of the Indonesian trading company, was quoted as saying by Chinanews.com.
Since the beginning of this year, electric bicycles from Guigang were exhibited in Singapore, Laos and other ASEAN countries in a row, attracting a large number of local enterprises to seek cooperation.
At present, the Gangbei District of the city has introduced more than 100 Chinese new energy electric bicycle enterprises such as AIMA, Luyuan, TAILG, ZUBOO, Opai and other supporting enterprises, more than 50 of which have been built and put into production, said Qin Lu, an official with Gangbei District.
Currently, Gangbei District reports the annual output of 5 million electric bicycles, 500,000 electric tricycles and 5 million sets of electric vehicle parts.
In addition, new energy electric vehicle quality inspection center and electric vehicle industry association have been introduced to provide high-quality services for electric bicycle enterprises.
