BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The activity "Give a Like for My Favorite China's Brands (2022-2023)" on Wednesday night in Shanghai released a list of 50 most popular and favored Chinese brands voted on line by foreigners across the world in the past month.
Fifty selected brands, including COSCO SHIPPING Group, CRRC, Zoomlion, China Railway Construction, Bank of China, Alibaba, Baidu, Wuliangye, JD.com, Xifeng Group and SAIC MG, had enjoyed their sparkling moments at the 2023 China Brand Day held on the same day.
These innovative and world-renowned brands cover ten sectors such as transportation, logistics, machinery, automobiles, household appliances, electronics, network services, health care, food and clothing.
COSCO SHIPPING Group has always adhered to the global network layout and promoted a high level of opening-up with high-quality shipping services, Chen Yangfan, deputy general manager of the group, said duirng the ceremony to unveil the results of the voting.
He noted that in recent years, the group has been participating in shipping cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) such as the Port of Piraeus in Greece and the China-Europe Land-Sea Express Line. The group has also stepped up efforts in building shipping and railway transport system, China-Europe freight train and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor to contribute to global economic growth.
As a typical representative of Chinese automobile brands going globally, SAIC MG was also listed as one of the 50 most favored Chinese Brands by foreigners. With the support of technical strength, product quality and global layout, SAIC MG rapidly morphed into a strong Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) brand to compete with international auto giants in high-end markets such as Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Hosted by Xinhua News Agency's National Brands Project, China Economic Information Service, China Today magazine and China.org.cn, the event aims to promote the achievements of China's domestic brands and improve their global recognition.
