BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- A service team of State Grid Zhangjiajie Power Supply Company on Thursday carried out a special inspection at a night market in the Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie, central China's Hunan Province.
The power connection project of the night market took only six days to complete, according to the company. "With over 60 stalls at the night market, we have to keep a close eye on electrical safety, especially with the large number of tourists during the upcoming Labor Day holiday," said a staff on the patrolling team.
The renowned Wulingyuan scenic area in Zhangjiajie receives more than 30 million visitors from home and abroad every year. For this upcoming holiday, over 60,000 tourists are expected to come to the Wulingyuan District, which poses a great challenge to the power supply service, said a representative with the State Grid.
In the Wujiayu community, which is crowded with hotels and inns and thus a center of the region's night economy, the State Grid branch is sending out service teams in both day and night to prepare for the upcoming holiday, as a bid to ensure stable power supply. Through inspecting power equipment, solving existing problems and urging stall holders to take precautions, the service teams are highly recognized by the local community.
In the future, State Grid Zhangjiajie Power Supply Company is committed to continuously safeguarding people's safety and livelihood through providing solid power supply, making contributions to the efforts of building the city into a world-famous tourist destination.
