NANJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- The number of 5G base stations in Jiangsu Province, an economic powerhouse in east China, increased to 202,000 by the end of March amid the province's drive to foster 5G development.
The figure was released by the Jiangsu Communications Administration, which also said the number of 5G users in Jiangsu had risen to 41.9 million.
The latest figures show a noticeable growth from the 183,000 5G base stations and 33.62 million 5G users registered by the end of September 2022.
China has made steady progress in advancing the construction of 5G infrastructure, with 2.64 million 5G base stations across the country by the end of March.
