BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Data Exchange (SDE) has set up an international board to explore cross-border two-way data circulation and encourage collaboration between businesses at home and abroad, said Wu Jincheng, head of Shanghai's economy and informatization commission, at the Global Data Ecosystem Conference 2022 held in Singapore on Monday.
The international board has nearly 30 listed data products, mainly serving high-level international economic and trade exchanges, cultural exchanges, and cooperation in other fields, said Tang Qifeng, chief executive officer of the SDE.
Tang added that the exchange is accelerating the establishment of the cross-border data trading system, improving data infrastructure and building a compliant and orderly mechanism for the global circulation of data.
With the rapid development of digital economy, cross-border data play an increasingly important role in supporting international trade, facilitating technology cooperation between nations, and promoting resources sharing.
Founded in November 2021, the SDE aims to promote the circulation of data elements, the development of digital economy, and further release digital dividends.
