BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- East China's Anhui Province will continue to support local enterprises making overseas business trips to seek cooperation potentials in the year 2023, said Fang Xu, director of the provincial commerce department on Thursday.
Over 160 small groups of business delegation will be dispatched to 206 international exhibitions and business events at home and abroad, setting up investment liaison platforms in Europe, America, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and other regions and countries, as well as holding themed investment promotion activities, according to Fang.
The province has established a contact mechanism between government departments and multinational companies, as a bid to improve the complaint mechanism for foreign companies and strengthen the protection of their legitimate rights and interests, said Fang.
The business delegations are also encouraged to visit the headquarters of multinational companies and hold trade promotion events, said Fang, adding that enterprises in Anhui are expected to actively undertake foreign investment in the manufacturing sector.
Anhui will also accelerate the cooperation of expanding international industrial chains, promoting the development of cooperation projects with Kazakhstan, Guinea, the Philippines, Hungary, Brazil and so on.
Customs data shows that Anhui's trade with countries along the Belt and Road saw an average annual growth of 12 percent from 2013 to 2022. In the first quarter this year, the province's trade with countries along the Belt and Road grew 29.6 percent year on year to 57.85 billion yuan (about 8.4 billion U.S. dollars).
