BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Tancheng, a county-level city in eastern China's Shandong Province, recently held a local folk delicacies cultural festival showcasing the unique cuisine of southern Shandong. Tourists from different places came to taste local delicacies and learn about the intangible cultural heritage related to the area.

The event, held in Matou Town, Tancheng County, also featured traditional Chinese cultural performances such as singing and dancing, martial arts demonstrations, and dragon and lion dances.

Exhibits of intangible cultural heritage products were on display, including the erhu (a popular Chinese instrument), straw weaving crafts, and ginkgo tea, highlighting Tancheng County's rich historical and cultural heritage. Local snacks with southern Shandong characteristics, such as roast chicken and halal pastries, attracted many visitors, further promoting Tancheng's folk culture.
