BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The 133rd China Import and Export Fair, with record exhibition area and number of exhibitors, will be held on April 15 in south China's Guangzhou City, the spokesperson of the fair told a press conference on Thursday.
According to Xu Bing, spokesperson of the fair and deputy director general of China Foreign Trade Centre, the exhibition area for offline exhibitions has been expanded from 1.18 million-square-meter to 1.5 million-square-meter. The number of online and offline exhibitors will reach 34,933 and 39,281 respectively.
There are three new exhibition areas for industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, and maternity, baby and child products. In addition, three new specialized zones for products of smart life, the silver economy, and testing and protective products are added.
More quality exhibitors, including industrial leaders, "little giants" firms, top manufacturers, and high-tech companies, have joined the fair, with manufacturers and private enterprises as mainstay.
The scale of exhibitions for imports has continued to expand. Import exhibitions cover 30,000 square meters, an increase of 50 percent compared with the pre-epidemic level.
It is learned that there will be 508 companies from 40 countries and regions participating in 12 professional exhibition areas, 73 percent of which are from countries and regions involved in the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
