BEIJING, March 27 (Xinhua) -- China's Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group Co. Ltd. (002497.SZ) announced that the company has reached an agreement with Australian lithium miner Core Lithium, purchasing an additional 18,500 tonnes of lithium concentrate from Core Lithium, reported Xinhua-run China Securities Journal recently.
This agreement is based on the prior agreement made by the two sides on the transaction of 300,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate in four years.
According to Yahua, Core Lithium is the company's long-term strategic partner.
It is learned that Yahua plans to expand its capacity of lithium industry in the future, and launch the third phase of high-grade lithium salt production line construction project. After the project being put into operation, the company's lithium salt comprehensive production capacity will reach more than 170,000 tonnes.
