BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Staff members of State Grid Chenzhou Power Supply Company on Thursday carried out a thorough inspection of electric equipment to ensure stable power supply at Xiangneng Hualei Optoelectronic Company (Hualei Optoelectronic) in the Chenzhou Area of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in central China's Hunan Province.
"We have been cooperating with companies from multiple African countries since 2022. It is expected that our export volume to Africa will exceed 100 million yuan (about 14.6 million U.S. dollars) this year," said Yao Qiong, representative with Hualei Optoelectronic. The company has witnessed increasing power consumption since the beginning of the year, following a surge in overseas orders.
As a bid to make sure that power supply keeps up with the boosting demand of Hualei Optoelectronic, staff members of State Grid Chenzhou Power Supply Company have been conducting weekly security inspection of the production plant, power distribution room, as well as the electric lines.
The chip production equipment of Hualei Optoelectronic is very sensitive to sudden reduction in the supply voltage, which may affect product quality, introduced Chen Hu, a staff member with State Grid Chenzhou Power Supply Company.
In order to avoid such voltage dip, the State Grid branch has examined and cleaned the distribution grids of Hualei Photoelectric, optimized key lines and redistributed the load. To further ensure voltage stability, the power supply company has also provided customized solutions to quickly respond to voltage dips.
In addition to State Grid Chenzhou Power Supply Company, other State Grid branches in Hunan have also provided zero-distance services for enterprises in various FTZs in the province since the resumption of work after the Spring Festival holiday, optimizing business environment and injecting strong impetus to local economic and social development.
