BEIJING, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Hainayun, an Internet of Things (IoT) digital city eco-platform of Haier Group, on Wednesday announced to sign a cooperation agreement with Haier Egypt Ecological Park to empower the project with digital technology.
The first phase of Haier Egypt Ecological Park is expected to be put into operation in the first half of 2024. Covering an area of 200,000 square meters, the project should see a total production capacity of over 1 million units of air conditioners, washing machines and TVs, creating about 2,000 local jobs.
Through smart city technologies such as IoT, big data, artificial intelligence and digital twin, Hainayun will develop a digital brain for the industrial park, as well as six application scenarios and 24 sub-scenarios including security, energy and environment.
The aim is to provide a new digital operation experience for the managers, employees and other users at Haier Egypt Ecological Park, achieving accurate, efficient and low-carbon operation of the park, according to Yao Jingli, general manager of the overseas business division at Hainayun.
In addition to Egypt, Hainayun has promoted smart city constructions in countries such as India, Russia, Malaysia, Colombia and others, involving digitalization of multiple fields including emergency support, city services, government, parks and communities. By enabling the development of local industries with digital technology, the company is committed to enhancing digital transformation of local industries and driving economic growth through digital economy.
