Chen Rugen, Party chief of Linping District in east China's Hangzhou City, addressed at the launching ceremony that Israel, hailed as a "country of innovation", has attracted many international and high-tech medical enterprises, incubating a well-developed industrial ecosystem of medical instruments.
DiNovA Medtech, China's leading platform for the investment, incubation and operation of life science and technology, has deeply engaged in global innovation and proactively involved in long-term cooperation with Israel's medical industry, said Chen.
Chen believed the official operation of the center will accelerate the incubation and introduction of Israel's projects on cutting-edge medical technologies and innovative medical instruments, and empower high-quality development of Linping's health and life industry.
From a global perspective, the center will also become a new exchange platform for the industry, which will push forward sci-tech innovation in the field, Chen added.
Liat Shohat, mayor of Or Yehuda, hailed the significance of the center, saying that with medical cooperation as a start, it will facilitate scientific and technological exchanges in multiple fields. She hoped that more quality Chinese projects can settle in Israel to further tap the cooperation potential between the two countries.
During the launching ceremony, an agreement on establishing sister cities was signed between Linping and Or Yehuda.
