BEIJING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- China's foreign exchange market saw a turnover of 14.29 trillion yuan (about 2.1 trillion U.S. dollars) in January, down from 16.03 trillion yuan in December last year, official data showed on Friday.
The turnover of forex transactions between banks and their clients totaled 2.62 trillion yuan, and the turnover of interbank forex transactions totaled 11.67 trillion yuan, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
In terms of products, the cumulative transaction volume of the spot market was 5.69 trillion yuan, and that of the derivatives market was 8.6 trillion yuan.
