BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- The scale of China's big data industry grew 18 percent year on year in 2022 to reach 1.57 trillion yuan, according to data released at the press conference of China Internetional Big Data Industry Expo 2023 held on Monday.
By the end of 2022, China had built the world's largest optical fiber network, with a total mileage of nearly 60 million kilometers.
The country has set up nearly 6 million standard data center racks and more than 2.3 million 5G base stations, both taking a global lead.
In the next phase, China will advance construction of national big data hubs and encourage enterprises of all types to promote integration of big data with various industries, according to the information technology development department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
