BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The industrial and supply chains of China's cloud computing sector are ushering into a new development phase after more than ten years of rapid development, with some new features seen, reported China Securities Journal Monday quoting a CASS report on China's industrial competitiveness.
The report, jointly released by the China Industries & Enterprises Competitiveness Research Center and the Social Sciences Academic Press (China) with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), believes that an integrated cloud computing industrial technology system with cloud native technology as the core is taking shape.
With the accelerated construction of new digital infrastructure such as 5G, big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, industrial internet and artificial intelligence, as well as the rapid integration of various digital technologies and resources, a coordinated and integrated development pattern is being realized quickly between cloud computing, edge computing and network, creating a new computing infrastructure architecture, the report says.
The architecture can help cloud computing service providers realize efficient coordination of resources, data, application, services, security and operation and maintenance, significantly enhancing the ability and efficiency of cloud computing in serving varieties of application scenarios, it adds.
In terms of security, the report points out that a credible security system for cloud computing industrial and supply chains guided by zero trust is being formed, as zero trust has become an important concept for security management of industrial and supply chains, and a key concept and practical path for building a new network security system.
A sound ecosystem based on cloud platforms is also coming into shape, as cloud platforms are integrating cloud computing, big data and other related technologies with traditional IT infrastructure, propping up digital transformation and efficient development and utilization of data, according to the report.
