BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co., Ltd. (Weiming Environment, 603568.SH), a Chinese company engaging in environmental protection-related business, announced that its subordinate equipment unit had inked 3 purchase contracts valuing about 480 million yuan in total with a subsidiary of GEM Co., Ltd. (GEM, 002340.SZ), a Chinese company engaging in resource recycling business, reported Shanghai Securities News Sunday.
The subordinate equipment company of Weiming Environment will provide tanks and other equipment for a laterite nickel ore smelting project of GEM in Indonesia.
So far, Weiming Environment and GEM have reached a number of cooperation intentions, involving fields like the research and development of new energy materials, used car dismantling and battery recycling, new energy technology, equipment supply, etc.
