China’s Jinan to organize over 500 enterprises to participate overseas exhibitions in H1

Abstract : Jinan, capital of east China's Shandong province, plans to organize more than 500 foreign trade enterprises and more than 1,000 people to participate in 39 key overseas exhibitions in the first half of 2023, the Jinan municipal government announced Monday.

BEIJING, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Jinan, capital of east China's Shandong province, plans to organize more than 500 foreign trade enterprises and more than 1,000 people to participate in 39 key overseas exhibitions in the first half of 2023, the Jinan municipal government announced Monday, Chinanews.com reported.

Jinan government will introduce a series of policies and measures suitable for the development of foreign trade enterprises in the city, to boost the enterprises to explore international market and reduce the cost of import and export, Liu Yanfei, deputy director of Jinan Bureau of Commerce, said during a press conference.

Jinan will further reduce the tax refund time, improve the speed of customs clearance, and continue to create a convenient environment for foreign trade enterprises, Liu added.

In 2022, Jinan registered 2,732 new foreign trade enterprises, 9 new cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, 13 overseas warehouses, with cross-border e-commerce imports and exports volume reaching 25 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 1.08 times, according to Wang Zhigang, deputy director of Jinan Bureau of Commerce.

In addition, in 2022, 45 new overseas investment projects were set up in Jinan with actual investment reaching 1.75 billion U.S. dollars, up 0.4 percent year on year, among which the projects for Belt and Road countries and regions increased by 297 percent year on year.
